A request for prayer...

I just received this from one of my Patriot Guard brethren:
We are new to the patriot guard sa of last summer. We bought our bike for the tribute to the troops ride.
We went on that ride and the flag line ride. Then Tim started not feeling well after that. We found out last saturday that he har prostate cancer spread to the bones and the lymph nodes. Please send out our request for Prayer. The patriot guard means so very much to us and we need him to recover so we can participate more. Please pray for us

Tim and Vickie Johnson

Any prayers you can offer will be greatly appreciated...

Prayers appreciated...

Our son Doug and future daughter-in-law were involved in a motorcycle accident last night, as they hit a deer.

We received the call around 1am, after which we directly picked up and headed for Fargo--I've been up all night.

Our son is doing well, outside of some road rash, but his girlfriend is currently in an induced coma;

Prayers would be appreciated--thanks!

Prayers needed!!

A terrible event has occurred in Iowa-- a tornado has hit a boy scout camp:

BLENCOE, Iowa - A tornado slammed a Boy Scout camp in the remote hills of western Iowa late Wednesday, killing at least four people, injuring 40 and setting off a frantic search for others who could be trapped in the piles of debris and downed trees.

A search and rescue team has been deployed to the camp near Little Sioux, Iowa Homeland Security spokeswoman Julie Tack said. She said the camp was covered with debris and downed trees after the tornado hit about 7 p.m.

Some victims might be trapped under debris, Tack said.

"We are still receiving information and we're processing it as we receive it," she said.

There were 93 campers and 25 staff members at the camp, Tack said. The campers were between 13 and 18 years old and were attending a leadership training camp.

"They were considered some of the best in the area," Tack said.

At least 40 people who were injured in the storm were being taken to area hospitals.

I used to take my boys tent camping to Many Point Scout Camp for a week every year, and we were at the mercy of the elements. Nary a week would go by when we weren't caught up in a severe thunderstorm; and one year there was a funnel cloud that passed overhead. I can only imagine the horror in Iowa when a tornado actually touched down.

Please say prayers for the dead, the injured, the shaken and their families.

Time for prayers...

Patrick Swayze has pancreatic cancer.

"Dirty Dancing" star Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer — one of the most fatal forms of the disease — and is currently undergoing treatment, a representative for the actor said Wednesday in a written statement.

The statement followed a report earlier in the day by the National Enquirer that said Swayze, 55, had five weeks to live because doctors in late January had diagnosed pancreatic cancer that had spread to other organs.

Swayze’s rep issued a statement Wednesday after the report began circulating, claiming the star is continuing his normal work schedule, and Swayze’s doctor said the reports of Swayze's imminent death are unfounded.

I know that pancreatic cancer, along with being one of the most deadly of cancers, is also one of the most painful.

I've always had a lot of respect for Swayze's talent; I pray that he beats the odds and overcomes this insidious ailment.
