BOIL WATER NOTICE ENDED

The BOIL WATER NOTICE issued to residents in the City of St. Cloud and St. Augusta has ended. Continued boiling water for consumption is no longer necessary.

Samples results taken from the Water Treatment Facility and representative water distribution system locations are negative and indicate no E-coli in the City tap water.

PLEASE NOTE: E-COLI BACTERIA WAS ONLY FOUND AT THE WATER TREAMTMENT FACILITY AND WAS NEVER FOUND IN THE WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM.

Since E-Coli has not been found in the water distribution system and chlorine has remained at sufficient levels, the need to flush water lines/softeners or home treatment devices is not necessary.

The BOIL ORDER NOTICE was a regulatory requirement and a precaution to ensure public health. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Time to drink 'em, if you got 'em... (Filed under miscellany)
