2 Year Anniversary of Harry Reid's Act of Treason

Today marks an infamous date in history: The day when a highly placed elected U.S. official, with U.S. men and women in harm's way, declared that we lost the war in Iraq:
He did this, of course, to give aid and comfort to those fighting our soldiers, ahead of the Bush-led surge in Iraq, so as to effect more U.S. troops coming home in body bags, so he could turn it to his and his party's political advantage.

Why this traitor hasn't been removed from a high-ranking leadership position, or better yet, placed in a stockade, is beyond reason.

What a scumbag.

The Burris Shuffle...

The three ring circus and theatre production of angst surrounding the seating/unseating of Illinois Senator non-Senator Burris reminds me of an old Mills Brothers' Tune, called Indecision

~

~First you say you will, and then you won't,

And then you say you may, and then you don't,

You're undecided now, so what are you gonna do?~

All this angst for and against seating a man who was legally appointed by a sitting governor, who just happens to be a minority.

Don't you just love it when the dems eat their own.

Clowns open up Wall Street...

Story here.

I wonder if they'll be available for hire when Congress opens in January.

Couldn't be any worse than the collection of clowns we already have.

Harry Reid--playing chicken with the troops. Again.

Evans-Novak Reports:
As Congress reconvened, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) walked into a trap. He permitted anti-war Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.) to bring up two Iraq troop-withdrawal amendments to the Defense bill, assuming Republicans would filibuster by blocking cloture. But Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) did the opposite, forcing an unwanted war debate and sending Reid's Senate schedule into chaos.
Harry Reid has the ability to screw up a one-car funeral, while simultaneously being able to stick his foot up his own arse.

If he weren't so incompetent he'd be dangerous.

Well...there's a start...

It looks like Senator "Bridge to Nowhere" has had his home searched:

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Federal agents searching the Alaska home of Republican Sen. Ted Stevens appeared particularly interested in cases of wine stored in the senator's house, an attorney briefed on the raid said.

Investigators photographed the cases and the individual bottles Monday along with other items from Stevens' home as part of a public corruption investigation that stretches from Alaska to Washington.

Stevens, 83, is under a federal investigation for his relationship with Bill Allen, an oil field services contractor who was convicted this year of bribing state lawmakers. Stevens was aware for some time that investigators wanted to search the house, the attorney said Tuesday, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the case.

Allen oversaw a 2000 renovation project that more than doubled the size of Stevens' home in the ski resort community of Girdwood. Allen is the founder of VECO Corp., an Alaska-based oil field services and engineering company that has reaped tens of millions of dollars in federal contracts.

Well, that is a good start. If there's corruption, then weed it out.

By the way, I'm still looking for a story that says that there's been a search of an elected leader's home in Searchlight, Nevada. Or another's home in San Francisco. Probably a lot of skeletons to be found should a certain U.S. representative's home from Johnstown, Pennsylvania be searched, as well.

But I won't hold my breath on any of those.

After all, they are democrats.

And in the end, all that matters are intentions, right?

Cheney Tops Reid in Polls...

Harry Reid once famously stated, "“I’m not going to get into a name-calling match with somebody who has a 9 percent approval rating,” Other than the fact that Mr. Reid was engaging in hyperbole, the facts of today strongly suggest that it should be Cheney who shouldn't lower himself to engage with Reid. Specifically, according to a poll reported on by the Wall Street Journal, Vice President Dick Cheney currently has a 28 percent positive approval rating.

Senate Majority leader Harry Reid's approval rating?

22 percent.

Some saying about stones and glass houses comes to mind here, don't you think?

h/t Don Surber.

***UPDATE****

Dennis Miller hits Reid between the eyes.

A Call for Surrender!

Since "Filthy Harry" Reid has seen it fit to declare surrender yesterday, I call on him and other like mindeds to immediately lead a delegation to Baghdad and offer themselves as prisoners of war to the local insurgents, Al Qaeda operatives, and other terrorist elements in Iraq.

After which, brave men like my son and his comrades can once again be free to continue and to win this war without further interference from Reid and his merry band of seditionists.

Go ahead, Mr. Reid. Put your money where your mouth is. You want surrender? You take the lead.

That is all.
