Minnesota, Meet Your New Senator...

Story here.

Should bode well for the cap & fleece vote that will be coming up in the Senate shortly. Regardless of the process, those who voted for this clown won't be able to complain when Minnesota voters (and voters around the nation) are asked to bend over and "take it like a man" in the name of junk science.

Thanks.

"Benedict Arlen"--"We don't need no stinkin' principles!"

When asked if there is a shortage of "Jewish Republicans" in the Senate, Senator "Turncoat" Benedict Arlen Specter originally had this to say,"
Asked whether he cared about a shortage of Jewish Republicans in the Senate, Specter replied: “I sure do. There’s still time for the Minnesota courts to do justice and declare Norm Coleman the winner.”
Specter, seeming to forget he was now a full-fledgd card-carrying out-of-the-closet democrat, thought twice about his endorsement of Coleman:

“In the swirl of moving from one caucus to another, I have to get used to my new teammates,” he said. “I’m ordinarily pretty correct in what I say. I’ve made a career of being precise. I conclusively misspoke.”

Asked who he’s backing now in elections, Specter said, “I’m looking for more Democratic members. Nothing personal.”

Selling out to the highest bidder, are we, Arlen? If principles were gas, Mr. Specter, it seems, wouldn't be able to drive a pissant's car half-way around a bee-bee.

Mr. Specter has more in common with a Hennepin Avenue Streetwalker than with any principled Republican.

Good riddance.

In a KSTP-TV back office...

:::phone rings::::

KSTP: Hello, this is KSTP-TV Polls -r -Us!

You tell us what you want, and we'll tailor a poll to fit your needs.

:::voice on other line::::

FRANKEN: Yeah... this is Al Franken... Look-- I'm really in a hurry, and I want Coleman to concede. Can you make a poll that tells him to hit the friggen road?

KSTP: Sure, Al. Anything for a fellow traveller.

FRANKEN: Thanks...

--two days later, the phone rings at Franken's stately apartment in New York City

KSTP: Err... hi Al.

FRANKEN: Hey--didja get my poll done?

KSTP: Well...err... yeah, but you might not like the results. We did the best to fudge it and to word it in your favor, but a good 45% of Minnesota citizens still think you're a schmuck.

FRANKEN: What the hell kind of pollsters are you? You're the friggen lame..err... mainstream media! You're supposed to be on my side!!! Can't I order a g*ddmn poll without you f*cking it up????

KSTP: Look, Mr. Franken... maybe we can work something out (long pause)... I know!!! We'll just word the title, in huge bold letters, "Coleman should concede," and leave it at that. Most folks won't even read past the headline.

FRANKEN: Well... it's a start.

Like Stealing Candy from a Baby?

Al Franken. Mark Ritchie, and the DNC steal the Minnesota U.S. Senate election.

Literally.

First Governor Turnbuckle, now this embarrassment.

How... quaint.

The fix is in.

After today's recount results, Coleman's lead dropped from the initial 774 votes on election night to just five votes.

There are more to count, including the so-called "improperly rejected" ballots.

This will likely go to the Minnesota Supreme Court, where the two Supreme Court Judges that had any assemblance of sanity will need to recuse themselves, since they are participating in the current recount.

Say hello to Senator Franken.

He'll do Minnesota proud.

Al Franken-Elitist?

Wesley Snipes gets three years. '

A mailbox installer got one year.

A chiropractor got three years.

So why is it that Minnesota U.S. senate candidate and mildly amusing nauseating comedian and erstwhile Boys Club embezzler and figurehead of the failed Air America network, Al Franken, got a pass?

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Al Franken, front-runner in the race to unseat Republican U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman, said on Tuesday that he has paid $70,000 in back taxes and penalties owed in 17 states going back to 2003.

Franken, who delivers speeches across the country and still receives residuals from television shows, movies and books, blamed his accountant of 18 years for what he said was a mistake.

The accountant, Allen Chanzis of New York, "just made a basic kind of error that had a lot of ramifications," Franken said.

So Al Franken makes a "mistake," and shouldn't be held accountable for the same "mistakes" for which others have done jail time. I suppose that Mr. Franken is no doubt a devotee to the late Leona Helmsley, who made famous the saying, "Only little people pay taxes."

Flaming liberal senate wanabees get a pass.

Anatomy of a Joke....

From the Brainerd Dispatch:

Franken figures people know difference between joke and real thing
U.S. Senate candidate Al Franken's efforts to translate fame as a comic and satirist to political success may hinge on whether Minnesotans can distinguish between humor and policy discourse.

The former "Saturday Night Live" performer and writer who visited Brainerd Monday said he's not overly worried that immoderate excerpts from his best-selling books or comic performances may be used against him.

"The stuff they've come up with is pretty weak," he said. "I think Minnesotans know what a joke is."

Minnesotans do know what a joke is, Al.

We certainly do.
