Welcome to the Idiocracy

If you've never seen the movie "Idiocracy" you should.

This movie envisions a future society void of intelligence due to the phenomenon that stupid people bred at twice the rate of intellectuals, effectively dumbing down society in the process.

Which brings me to this story:

Low-literacy adults to increase 25% by 2031: report

CBC News
The number of Canadian adults with low literacy levels will increase 25 per cent in the next two decades, creating a "literacy dilemma" if the problem isn't addressed immediately, a new report says.

By 2031, more than 15 million Canadian adults — three million more than today — will have low literacy levels, the Canadian Council on Learning says in the report released Wednesday.

"Unless some action is taken to reverse this trend, the literacy dilemma we are facing can translate into profound challenges for Canada's social well-being and economic prosperity," the council warned.

With low literacy skills, a person can deal "only with simple, clear material involving uncomplicated tasks," the council said.

Adults who meet the minimum threshold for understanding and using information from text, such as news stories, editorials, poems and fiction, are considered to have low literacy. They aren't considered illiterate. The number of Canadians considered illiterate is "actually very small," the report said, without being specific.

The report cited research showing adults with low literacy levels have more health problems, earn less and live shorter lives than other adults.

"In order to maintain a healthy population and to stay competitive in a global environment, Canada must address these issues today — not 20 years from now," the council said.

The number of adults with low literacy will rise in Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, the council predicted in the report, titled the Future of Literacy in Canada's Largest Cities.

The rise will be greatest in Ottawa (80 per cent, to 500,000 adults), followed by Toronto and Vancouver (64 per cent, to nearly 3.2 million and 1.3 million, respectively), and Montreal (20 per cent, to more than 1.8 million.)

Although their numbers will increase, adults with low literacy will make up a smaller proportion of the population in Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver, and a larger proportion in Montreal.

"These new numbers challenge the popular belief that the state of literacy in Canada will improve over time given Canada's growth in post-secondary graduates," said Dr. Paul Cappon, chief executive of the Canadian Council on Learning.

Driving the changes in literacy levels are two growing populations, the report found: low-literacy immigrants and senior citizens, who tend to experience "learning loss as they age."

The CCL, whose mission is "to be a catalyst for lifelong learning across Canada," did not offer specific solutions to the country's literacy levels.

While this is a story about Canada, the United States is going down the same path.

The insistence of feel-good-ism and self-esteem über alles will bear its ugly fruit in the not-too-distant future.

After all, the dumber the voter, the more likely they are to vote democrat.

They needs to turn in their man-cards--NOW.

There was a 'human rights' complaint against "Ladies Night" in five Minneapolis bars:

Free drink specials that women receive at some Twin Cities bars during ladies’ nights may be a violation of the Minnesota Human Rights Act, according to the state’s Department of Human Rights.

The department is currently investigating the drink specials at five Twin Cities’ bars and restaurants in response to complaints of gender discrimination, department spokesman Jeff Holman said.

Ladies’ nights generally consist of one or two hours of free or reduced-price drinks for women while men pay full price.

Gender-based pricing violates the Human Rights Act,” department Commissioner James Kirkpatrick said in a statement.

The department would not comment on the establishments involved, as the investigation is ongoing.

Holman said if an establishment is found to have violated the Human Rights Act, it may be forced to pay damages to complainants or end the ladies’ night specials ruled discriminatory.

I really want the 'complainants' names to be made public, so they could be publicly and mercilessly ridiculed, be forced to wear panties, and ostracized from every institution that real men hold dear.

What have we come to, that we must now have such a sanitized, politically correct existence that some smarmy, pencil-necked geek (or geeks) have to complain about a long-standing institution as "Ladies Night," reaching the tentacles of political correctness into every aspect of our lives, including our social lives?

As far as I'm concerned, vive le difference! and let it go at that.

The Road To Hell Is Paved By Obamacare...

If Obama & his like-minded minions have their way Planned Parenthood will be getting their slimy meat hooks into our kids and grandkids:

Under Title V ("Other Provisions") of Obama's "America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009" (the official name for the bill, H.R. 3200), Subtitle B (School-Based Health Clinics, or SBHC) outlines a program in which the federal government would fund clinics in or near the nation's schools. The administration of these clinics will not rest with the school nurse or anyone who answers to the school administration or parents. Under Section 399Z, "the SBHC sponsoring facility assumes all responsibility for the SBHC administration, operations, and oversight."

According to the bill, a "sponsoring facility" is "a hospital, a public health department, a community health center, a nonprofit health care agency, (or) a local educational agency." Such broad wording outlining the qualifications for government funds and access to schoolchildren could open the door for groups like Planned Parenthood to operate the clinics in schools with no oversight and full federal government support. The organization currently operates over 850 clinics nationwide.

The clinics would be funded by federal grants awarded by the Obama administration, which has made it clear that they expect Planned Parenthood to play an active role in their proposed health care system. In the midst of the recent national debate this summer and during the Congressional recess over the health care plan, members of the Obama administration were meeting with Planned Parenthood staff and making strong overtures over their potential role in health care reform.
Lest you think that this is some tinfoil hat delusional thing, but you may remember when the Obamateur made this speech:
Note also that it was the Obamateur who no less than three times voted against the "Born Alive Protection Act" that would mandate life saving treatment of newborn unborns born alive after an attempted abortion.

And now Obama and his like-minded ghouls at Planned Parenthood want to pass on those time-honored values to your children and grandchildren. The same Planned Parenthood founded by Margaret Sanger, an avowed racist and promoter of eugenics.

So... how's that hopenchange working for you now?

Chaos as a Tool of the American Left

A good friend of mine pointed me to a must-read article (READ THE WHOLE THING) by James Simpson that was actually written two months before the Presidential election, in September of 2008. In it, Simpson writes about the Cloward-Piven strategy, that is, a strategy formulated by two radical university lefitsts during the 1960s; a strategy utilizing contrived and orchestrated chaos to achieve political ends.

Immediately upon reading the piece, the following passage stood out:
Cloward and Piven were inspired by radical organizer [and Hillary Clinton mentor] Saul Alinsky:

"Make the enemy live up to their (sic) own book of rules," Alinsky wrote in his 1989 book Rules for Radicals. When pressed to honor every word of every law and statute, every Judeo-Christian moral tenet, and every implicit promise of the liberal social contract, human agencies inevitably fall short. The system's failure to "live up" to its rule book can then be used to discredit it altogether, and to replace the capitalist "rule book" with a socialist one. (Courtesy Discover the Networks.org)
I might add, Alinsky is an ideological mentor to Barack & Michelle Obama.

I also might add that our own book of rules is a list of ideals for which to strive, which, as is the case with the Commandments, we all fall short, though we continue to strive for those ideals.

The Socialist book of rules is a dumbing down, a nihilist concept that since we all fall short of moral purity and perfection, why even strive for it? The definition of moral purity is then defined down to living according to the Machiavellian tenets that any means, including the economic and moral destruction of one's own nation, are justified if they will serve to create their inarguably unattainable earthly socialist utopia. With the leftist rule book, and with tactics such as moral relativism the left can change the rules as they go along; consequently, in their minds, they ALWAYS live up to their rules..because essentially there are none.

It's time that socialists are held not to to their own book of rules (since in effect, they have none), but to the results they promise as they tout their policies. The socialist policies of Barack Obama and the dems have netted not a utopia, but the exact opposite world in which moral degradation and chaos rule the day. They decapitated the black families in the great society, initiated unending cycles of poverty, placed moral standards at their lowest common denominator til in their 'moral equavalence' game neither a standard of morality nor the will to strive to live by morals exist, period.

They have left and continue to leave societal, moral and social destruction in their wake.

They have promised a better life for all who subscribe to their philosophy, yet, through the redistribution of wealth and through moral equivalence, multiculturalism, not to mention their zeal to throw God out of the picture at every turn, they have and continue to create pandemonium.

Where is their neo-socialist/neo-communist paradise on earth?

Despite the left's rising tide this past decade and a half, I've yet to see any sign of it. Despite the "great society," despite the transfer of untold trillions of dollars in wealth, I haven't seen a smidgen of benefit to the individual, nor the society at large.

Where are the results, lefties?

A "Hero" Among Them?

That's what these communist/socialist ne'erdowells are calling an erstwhile, room-temperature, piece of slime cop killer:
Oakland, CA--As the city prepares for a massive public funeral for four police officers slain in the line of duty, dozens took to the streets in a show of support for the man authorities say was their killer.

Organized by International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement, the march Wednesday evening took participants near a police substation within sight of the two locations where Lovelle Mixon allegedly shot the veteran officers before being slain himself.

Loved ones and supporters walked through the streets chanting, "OPD you can't hide, we charge you with genocide!" There were no officers patrolling the march route.

"I don't condone what he did, but it's bringing to light the frustrations between the community and the police," said Uhuru Movement member Kihad Deen. "This gives people a chance to speak their minds."

Mixon's cousin, Dolores Darnell, 26, addressed the small crowd, calling him "a true hero, a soldier."

"This is the real Lovelle," she said, holding a picture of a smiling Mixon with his wife. "We do apologize for what he did to the officers' families. But he's not a monster."
Yeah. And neither was Frankenstein.

More about these commie Black Panther retreads called the Uhuru:

Lovelle Mixon’s life, like that of thousands of young African men in the impoverished neighborhoods of Oakland, was over long before he was killed by police. He faced a hopeless dead end of joblessness, poverty and criminalization by a society that would rather lock up young African men than make college or jobs available to them.

The police are not social workers; they are a military force with the assignment to carry out a violent containment policy against a whole community. The purpose of the police is to maintain power for the status quo and uphold the relations of poverty and wealth in the city.

If we want to move forward and “build bridges” as a city there is only one road to do so. We have to truly understand the calls of a community under siege and demand an immediate end to this completely failed public policy of police containment, this war without terms waged against the African community of Oakland.

So, concerned about "social justice," are we? Concerned about a policy of "violent containment," you say?

Well let me school you about the origin of your discontent. The policy of "containment" is not a police-initiated policy. This may come as somewhat of a surprise to you, but your much reviled "policy of containment" was NOT a policy initiated by Republicans.

The policy of "containment" was in fact initiated and made possible by LBJ in 1964 with the advent of "The (not so) Great Society" that served to contain and imprison the poor in a never-ending cycle of poverty.

It was perpetuated by years of separating fathers from the responsibility of raising their own children.

It was perpetuated by endless brow-beating about the glass ceiling; placed ostensibly by some mythical entity known as 'da man;' not to mention the day after day hammering by elected liberal democrat officials of the message that impoverished minorities could do nothing and would be nothing without white liberals in limousines running to their rescue, doling out the meager sub-subsistence afforded by the welfare state.

The "policy of containment" has been perpetuated as a campaign of fear by white limousine liberals and their black slavemasters (a/k/a, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, et al.); delivering empty promises and false warnings to their charges that they would starve if democrats weren't maintained in power. This was done, of course, as a means of perpetuating and "containing" a ready-pocket of democrat voters.

This "policy of containment" is even to this day being perpetuated by the present Administration as the same-old, same-old turd, polished and repackaged in a pretty pink ribbon; now labelled "Hope and Change."

In short, if Uhurus want to blame someone for their being "contained,' look no further than your friendly neighborhood liberal democrat congressman or woman.

Then blame yourselves for listening to them.

And by the way, "Hero," my ass.

Regarding Fascism...

In relatively recent years, the left have more or less made a cottage industry out of labelling conservatives "fascists."

But let's take a close look at a key component of the definition of fascism of the economic sense, shall we? Specifically, as fascism defined as government and business intertwined so as to make them inseparable, to wit:
Fascists considered the economy to be of little importance, and did not have clear economic views. One significant fascist economic belief was that prosperity would naturally follow once the nation has achieved a cultural and spiritual re-awakening.[16] Often, different members of a fascist party would make completely opposite statements about the economic policies they supported.[17] Once in power, fascists usually adopted whatever economic program they believed to be most suitable for their political goals
Okay, let's begin to break this down. First,
One significant fascist economic belief was that prosperity would naturally follow once the nation has achieved a cultural and spiritual awakening.
A cultural and spiritual awakening...is this why the agenda media were willing to overlook and/or gave short shrift to many of the Obama scandals, from his friendships with Tony Rezko, Rev. Wright and William Ayers, to the flak over his birth certificate? Is this illustrative of the near messianic esteem in which the masses held their lord and savior, Lord Voldemort Obama?

Let's go on, shall we?
Often, different members of a fascist party would make completely opposite statements about the economic policies they supported.
The democrat leader of the House of Representatives is a prime example here. Aside from claiming that inaction on the Spendulous package would lead to the loss of 500 million (yes million) jobs per month, Madame Speaker Pelosi praddled,
WALLACE: ... my point is this: Isn't it a mistake to raise taxes on anyone during a recession?

PELOSI: Well, first of all, I don't know that a decision has been made by the Obama administration. But I will tell you this, that in '04, '06 and '08, we had campaigned in saying what the Republican Congressional Budget Office told us. Nothing contributed more to the budget deficit than the tax cuts for the wealthiest people in America. Fiscal discipline is central to what we do, and we can't...

WALLACE: You're about to pass a $1 trillion spending program. That's not — that's not fiscal discipline.

PELOSI: No, no. It is discipline.

[SNIP]

PELOSI: No, I think it's very important. I think it's very important, and I support what he wants to do, to have a summit of that kind, and we will have our own initiatives in the Congress to work with him on that, because we do — again, fiscal discipline. Fiscal discipline.

We are committed to pay as you go, not heaping mountains of debt on our children, and the investments that we make have to be job- creating and bring money into the economy. So of course, the entitlements are an important part of how we make...

And finally, back to our definition:
Once in power, fascists usually adopted whatever economic program they believed to be most suitable for their political goals.
And what is more suitable to a democrat's political goals than the doling out of so many taxpayer-supported "goodies" that the electorate would find difficult to resist?
* $2 billion earmark to re-start FutureGen, a near-zero emissions
coal power plant in Illinois that the Dept. of Energy defunded last year
because the project was inefficient
* $650 million for the digital television (DTV) converter box
coupon program
* $88 million for the Coast Guard to design a new polar icebreaker
(arctic ship)
* $448 million for constructing the Dept. of Homeland Security
headquarters
* $248 million for furniture at the new Dept. of Homeland Security
headquarters
* $600 million to buy hybrid vehicles for federal employees
* $400 million for the CDC to screen and prevent STD's
* $1.4 billion for a rural waste disposal programs
* $125 million for the Washington, D.C. sewer system
* $150 million for Smithsonian museum facilities
* $1 billion for the 2010 Census, which has a projected cost
overrun of $3 billion
* $200 million for public computer centers at community colleges
* $75 million for salaries of employees at the FBI
* $25 million for tribal alcohol and substance abuse reduction
* $500 million for flood reduction projects on the Mississippi
River
* $10 million to inspect canals in urban areas
* $6 billion to turn federal buildings into "green" buildings
* $500 million for state and local fire stations
* $650 million for wildland fire management on Forest Service
lands
* $150 million for Smithsonian museum facilities
* $1.2 billion for "youth activities," including youth summer job
programs
So, just who are the modern-day fascists?

Hmmm... I wonder.

The Hugo Chavez Barack Obama Show?

While the Obamessiah may have been somewhat successful in selling the American electorate on the possibility of a neo-socialist government, the chances of a permanent left turn in American politics, if Chavez' Venezuela is any kind of harbinger, are slim to none.

Frontline on PBS has an interesting show online called The Hugo Chavez show, which, wittingly or unwittingly, chronicles a host of paralells with and harbingers of what may come with an Obama administration.

In The Hugo Chávez Show, FRONTLINE producer Ofra Bikel travels to Venezuela to offer an illuminating portrait of the Venezuelan president. Through interviews with former government officials, Chávez associates and ordinary Venezuelans, FRONTLINE chronicles Chávez's ascent to power and his efforts to use the powers of the presidency to stay there.

The film also reveals the key role of the media—or, rather, Chávez's savvy use of the media—in his rise to power. This report begins by introducing viewers to Aló Presidente—or "Hello, President"—a weekly televised show that often runs five to eight hours and features Chávez speaking directly to the people, explaining government policy and mixing in a smattering of songs, poetry and whatever else strikes his fancy.

"Chávez is easily caricatured because he can be funny; he can seem buffoonish on his Aló Presidente," journalist Jon Lee Anderson tells FRONTLINE. "He sings; he gets involved in wordplay. ... He's probably the world's first virtual president in the age of the communication revolution."

Given the press' coronation of "The One," allowing him to amble about the campaign trail without delivering anything more than a softball, I believe that Barack Hussein Obama may well be the world's second virtual president.

FRONTLINE investigates beyond the boundaries of the president's show, discovering grand schemes that remain unfinished and a host of public officials blamed for any dissent. FRONTLINE interviews Nelson Mora, a committed community organizer who dared to raise questions about a government relocation plan and was subsequently humiliated by the president on live television. "At that moment, I felt bad. I closed my eyes and felt tears," says Mora. "And I said, 'My God, why does the president treat me like this, the commander in chief, the leader of this process?'"
Joe the Plumber, anyone? WGN Radio, anyone?

More paralells in the piece abound:

Yet it was Chávez's keen grasp of the power of the media that propelled him to power, observers say. FRONTLINE recounts how Chávez got his first taste of the media limelight when he participated in a failed 1992 coup. Much to his military compatriots' surprise, Chávez—who was commanding the group's forces in Caracas—agreed to surrender in exchange for a chance to go on the air and address his comrades and the people. The failed coup would send Chávez to prison for two years, but the media exposure planted the seeds of a folk hero in the making.

"Chávez failed militarily, totally," says Alberto Barrera, author of the international best seller Hugo Chávez. "But he triumphed in terms of public relations. The public Chávez who was born was born not out of a military or political victory, but out of the ratings."

And the paralells get even more creepy:
Upon his release from prison in 1994, Chávez began laying the groundwork for his eventual rise to the presidency in 1998. The Hugo Chávez Show recounts the highs and lows of Chávez's 10-year tenure. His political successes included pushing through laws that sent Venezuelan society veering to the left and injecting billions of dollars in oil revenue into socialist government programs.
But here's where the rays of hope start coming in:

Cracks are also showing in Chávez's much-vaunted revolutionary programs. In The Hugo Chávez Show, FRONTLINE speaks with workers in various socialized cooperatives who say Chávez's government has failed to provide needed resources, or even to pay them for the work they have done.

"I am among the poorest people in Venezuela," says cooperative worker Maria Rengifo. "The president has to know, in order to form a cooperative, we have to have income. ... He has to know what's going on. Why aren't they functioning? Why aren't they producing? Why isn't there anything to produce?"

Welcome to Socialism/Communism 101, Maria. And welcome to Obama's vision for America, my fellow Americans (whether or not you voted for him).

With frustration building and food shortages common, Venezuela's crime rate has soared, with murders, robberies and kidnappings for ransom occurring frequently. "It's shocking to come nearly a decade on and see that most of what Hugo Chávez was railing in anger about being left with—a failed society, misery, insecurity, unequal distribution of wealth—is still here," Anderson tells FRONTLINE.
Obama voters (and unfortunately, the rest of us) are about to suffer a similarly painful lesson as Captain Candyman maneuvers the U.S.S. United States on a decidedly port-wise list.

Hopefully the American electorate's tolerance for sea-sickness will be more short-lived than a decade, and a righting of the ship will take place in four (or perhaps only two) years.

Meanwhile, sit back, and enjoy the show.

Presto Change-o?

One helluva trick. With a wave of a wand, turn 700 billion into 7 TRILLION?

The U.S. government is prepared to provide more than $7.76 trillion on behalf of American taxpayers after guaranteeing $306 billion of Citigroup Inc. debt yesterday. The pledges, amounting to half the value of everything produced in the nation last year, are intended to rescue the financial system after the credit markets seized up 15 months ago.

My. Isn't that beneficent of our government to 'provide' 7.76 TRILLION (yep--with a "T") DOLLARS of our money on our behalf. Without asking us.

Maybe I'll just go rob the bank down the street, and buy myself a plasma TV; on the depositors behalf, of course.

WTF do they think they're doing, anyway? Just whose money do they think they're manufacturing and throwing around?

This is getting out-and-out ridiculous. With all this extra money being printed, before you know it we'll be needing to cart cash around in a wheelbarrow to buy a bloody candy bar.

With bozos like these at the helm, who the hell needs Somali pirates?

America Repent...

This song was performed by a friend of mine, Randy Vild...This video is an appeal to our nation to turn from its sin and return to the God who so richly blessed it. It is called, “America Repent". Tim Juillet wrote the song and edited the video.

A very true message, indeed...

It wasn't a threat... it was a promise.

Maxine Waters meant what she said. And there are enough sheeple in the U.S. to make her dream of nationalizing the oil industry a definite possibility, if not quite yet a reality.

When the People's World Weekly starts mirroring the sentiments of 47 percent of the American electorate; yes, these same capitalistic United States founded on economic freedom, something is seriously wrong.

WTF is happening to our nation???

The Mayan Calendar is said to end in 2012.

That gives us four more presidential years.

I'm not a tinfoil hat kind of person, but these coincidences do make one take a second look, no?

Shoving their morality down our throats....

What the left often accuses Christians of doing: New York's Governor Paterson has unilaterally ordered all state agencies to recognize gay marriages from California and Canada, even though there is a proscription against gay New Yorkers themselves from tying the knot.

As Gavin Newsom proclaimed, his "moral view" of gay marriage will be slammed-dunked down our throats, no matter what the majority of Americans think.

As New York's Catholic bishops finally (rightly) stated,
"just as the state cannot declare a man to be a 'mother' or a woman to be a 'father,' it can not declare a same-sex union to be a 'marriage."
Just as a pig cannot be labelled a horse. But as liberals are wont to do, they think they have free rein to re-define language as they see fit. By re-defining language, (as they are prone to do with the Constitution) they get to set the terms of the argument.

Sticks and stones may indeed break bones, but liberals have a way of wielding and twisting language that can in the end be every bit as formidable a weapon. Our charge as conservatives continues to be constantly on guard and counter their deceptive tactics with the most formidable weapon in the history of Man: The truth.

Just when you thought you'd seen everything...

Add yet another to the "stupid victims list."

NEW YORK (AP) — A businessman claims in a lawsuit that he was injured when a stripper giving him a lap dance swiveled and smacked him in the face with the heel of her shoe.

Stephen Chang, a securities trader, said in court papers filed Friday that he was at the Hot Lap Dance Club near Madison Square Garden and was getting a paid lap dance when the accident occurred early Nov. 2, 2007.

According to the lawsuit, as the dancer swung around, the heel of her shoe hit him in the eye, causing him “serious injuries.”

A man who identified himself as the manager of the Hot Lap Dance Club said he was unaware of the accident or the state Supreme Court lawsuit. The club’s lawyer, Stephen Ateshoglou, did not immediately return a call.

I weep for our nation.

Stephen Chang, you're a moron.

Judges suck.

Guy sells crack cocaine three times near an elementary school, runs away from his trial, and skates.

A 23-year-old man found guilty of selling crack cocaine three times near an elementary school and then fled during his trial, will not serve prison time, MyFOXKC.com reported.

Aunrekki D. West was convicted of three Class A felonies — two counts of delivering a controlled substance near a school and one count of second degree drug trafficking, the Web site reported.

They carry a sentence of 10 years to life in prison on Jan. 9, according to the report.

The Platte County Prosecutor's Office asked the court to sentence him to 15 years on each count, running them consecutively for a total sentence of 45 years, but instead they gave West five years probation after serving 60 days, the station reported.

West will be ordered released on March 15, because the court gave him credit for time served.

Letting pedophiles go, letting crack dealers go...

Yeah, we got some winners in the judiciary, alright.

Attention Pedophiles:

It's okay to take pictures up the skirts of 16-year old girls, as long as you're in a public place.

That's the message handed down by the Oklahoma State Court of Criminal Appeals:

The state Court of Criminal Appeals voted 4-1 in favor of Riccardo Gino Ferrante, who was arrested in 2006 for situating a camera underneath the girl's skirt at a Target store and taking photographs.

Ferrante, now 34, was charged under a "Peeping Tom" statute that requires the victim to be "in a place where there is a right to a reasonable expectation of privacy." Testimony indicated he followed the girl, knelt down behind her and placed the camera under her skirt.

In January 2007, Tulsa County District Judge Tom Gillert ordered Ferrante's felony charge dismissed. That was based upon a determination that "the person photographed was not in a place where she had a reasonable expectation of privacy," according to the appellate ruling issued last week.

The District Attorney's Office had appealed Gillert's ruling to the Court of Criminal Appeals.

"We agree with the district court's analysis," stated the opinion written by Appeals Judge Charles Johnson, with Judges Charles Chapel, David Lewis and Arlene Johnson concurring.

In what was certainly a minority appeal for sanity,

Appeals Judge Gary Lumpkin wrote that "what this decision does is state to women who desire to wear dresses that there is no expectation of privacy as to what they have covered with their dress."

"In other words, it is open season for peeping Toms in public places who want to look under a woman's dress," Lumpkin wrote.

He said he found the majority's finding of no reasonable expectation of privacy "interesting and disturbing."

These lower-than-scum judges are no doubt the same liberal ACLU-types who, basking in the mindset of sexification of young girls, allowed unlimited access to pornography in public libraries, struck down parental involvement through the negation of parental notification laws, and have been largely responsible for statistics like these. These bastards, who supposedly took oaths that they would protect the public good, need to be summarily removed from their positions of public trust and thrown out of office on their collective ears.

They themselves have set the stage for further victimization of women in general, and minors in particular; and they themselves will have the blood of and/or the permanent emotional scarring of young girls on their hands as a result.

Bastards.

On bribing people with their own money...

Governor Pawlenty's veto of the pork-laden, tax-increase laden behemoth 6.6 billion dollar Transportation bill is in danger of not being able to sustain itself.

A smaller version of the bill was beaten down last year due to a team effort by Governor Pawlenty and Minnesota House Republicans, but apparently some RINOs in the mix are now willing to jump ship to pass the largest tax increase in Minnesota history. Ever. And that's only the transportation bill. Can you imagine what's in store for the rest of this session?

One of our heroes in St. Paul, St. Cloud's own Steve Gottwalt, is leading the charge in trying to keep this three-ring circus train from making the connection to our back pockets, as he recognizes that the entire $6.6 billion dollar behemoth tax increase, devoid of any prioritization of current spending, is going to be financed totally on the backs of all Minnesota taxpayers (including the poor) in the form of NEW TAXES.

In a conversation with him, Gottwalt stated that he's not sure if the governor's veto will be sufficient to keep this travesty from passing. I call on all Conservative Minnesotans not to give one thin dime (nor one second of time) to any of the buffoons who choose to override the veto that would lead this onerous albatross to its nefarious fruition.

Furthermore, I call on all Conservative citizens in Minnesota to immediately devote their full measures of time, talent and treasure to those candidates that have the balls to declare this farce for what it is, and vote to sustain the veto.

When will our elected spendthrift officials (and our citizenry) finally come to realize that they are picking our own pockets to give us goodies that WE ARE PAYING FOR, and advertising it as easy, free money? We may be getting pork from the treasury, but just whose money is it in the treasury? And pork at what price?

Folks, in the words of Governor Pawlenty, it's time to put the fork down, stand away from the table, and think about what we're doing as a society! Have we been reduced to a society that has, in the prescience of Alexis de Toqueville, allowed ourselves to be bribed with our own money? Are we in Minnesota willing to re-enact the woes set forth by the socialist robber-barons of California and Michigan? I can guran-damn-tee you that's exactly where we're headed with a liberal majority in power in Minnesota.

Enjoy the ride.

And no, this didn't come from Scrappleface.

In their "No Pervert Left Behind" program, the ACLU is arguing that sex in public bathroom stalls is "private."

From Yahoo News:
ST. PAUL, Minn. - In an effort to help Sen. Larry Craig, the American Civil Liberties Union is arguing that people who have sex in public bathrooms have an expectation of privacy.

Craig, of Idaho, is asking the Minnesota Court of Appeals to let him withdraw his guilty plea to disorderly conduct stemming from a bathroom sex sting at the Minneapolis airport.

The ACLU filed a brief Tuesday supporting Craig. It cited a Minnesota Supreme Court ruling 38 years ago that found that people who have sex in closed stalls in public restrooms "have a reasonable expectation of privacy."

That means the state cannot prove Craig was inviting an undercover officer to have sex in public, the ACLU wrote.

Yeah. Riiiight.
