Well... Cheops had his pyramid..

And since liberal democrats envision themselves as royalty, the following comes as no surprise:

James Taranto of the Wall Street Journal found this outrage:

"More than one out of every five dollars of the $126 million Massachusetts is receiving in earmarks from a $410 billion federal spending package is going to help preserve the legacy of the Kennedys," the Associated Press reports from Boston:

The bill includes $5.8 million for the planning and design of a building to house a new Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the Senate. The funding may also help support an endowment for the institute.

The bill also includes $22 million to expand facilities at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum and $5 million more for a new gateway to the Boston Harbor Islands on the Rose Kennedy Greenway, a park system in downtown Boston named after Kennedy's mother and built on land opened up by the Big Dig highway project.

Taranto added: "We suppose if you can't make history, you might as well buy it with other people's money."

All hail Caesar.

Even if he is a fat, bloated, drunken buffoon who lets his girlfriend die while he swims away.

I really had my doubts...

While reading about a new invention from Japan, the Solar Bra, I came upon this factoid.

Regarding missing a grim milestone....

No, I'm not talking about deaths in Iraq.

If you'll look on the sidebar of this blog, you'll see a count-up meter on how many days it's been since the death of Mary Jo Kopechne, at the hands of the drunken Senator-for-Life Ted Kennedy...

Looking at it today, I see that just over 14,000 days have passed since that fateful day, along with as many days that justice is yet to be served.

As Ted Kennedy bloviates about waterboarding, deaths in Iraq, and other issues, perhaps it may be germane to focus on the skeletons present in his own closet.

Just a thought.

Justice for Mary Jo

On July 19, 1969, the drunken Massachusetts Senator-for-Life Teddy Kennedy drove his car off a bridge near Chappaquiddick. Saving himself, and leaving behind Mary Jo Kopechne to die, Senator Kennedy didn't even bother to report the incident until someone found the car in Poucha Pond the next morning.

Senator Kennedy didn't serve a day in jail; and the manslaughter of Mary Jo Kopechne still screams for justice, and Senator Kennedy, now an influential senator, has yet to pay for his crime.

I developed a sidebar widget that counts up the days that have passed since the incident at Chappaquiddick; so that we should never forget what happened that fateful day, and that we are reminded of the need for Senator Ted Kennedy to answer for what he did.

If you'd like this widget, please email me at psycmeistr at fastmail dot fm.
