So what's the party about??

World Markets Soar after Government Takeover of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae

Remember, folks... this is a government power grab, using a behemoth-proportioned share of your tax dollars. While Wall Street Investors may breathe a temporary sigh of relief, knowing that taxpayers are going to foot the bill for bad loans, personally, I don't think that taxpayers have a reason to join in the merriment.

If Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security are any kind of barometer with which to gauge the efficiency of government, these mortgage giants can only become bloated corpses and endless moneypits that will sap taxpayers, their progeny, and the economy for decades to come.

Forgive me if I don't break out into a rousing chorus of "Happy Days are Here Again."

With what is clearly a socialist-like takeover of a sector of our economy, perhaps a chorus of "It's All Over Now" would be more appropriate.
