Taxpayers 7, DFL 1 (sort of)

From an emailed internal source:

The Governor has vetoed six of the seven major budget bills that have reached his desk.

He has vetoed: Jobs Finance, State Government Finance, HHS Finance, and the Bonding Bill.

He has line-item vetoed: Agriculture Finance, and Environment Finance.

He has yet to receive: Higher Ed Finance; E-12 Education Finance, Transportation Finance, and the Tax Bill.

He did sign the the Public Safety Finance Bill, but only after the DFL pulled key provisions in the face of a credible veto message from the Governor.

When the week is over, the Legislature could be 0-10-1 on these 11 bills.
The GOP minority, siding with Pawlenty, can in effect make the taxpayers bulletproof.

Can you imagine the money that would be leaking out of our bank accounts, if we had Governor Hatch??
