There would be no "A" word without the "F" word

Now Karl Rove seems to be in hot water with the AP for complimenting Barack Obama...
UNDATED (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama just can't get away from the word "articulate."

White House political adviser Karl Rove told an Arkansas crowd that the Illinois senator is "charismatic, he's articulate, he's a very strong figure on the national stage."

During an interview on Fox News Channel, President Bush said of Obama, he's "an attractive guy. He's articulate."
But you see, the AP would have absolutely no bone to pick about the A-word if it were not for one extra word that Sen. Joe Biden stuck in his quote that actually made it offensive:
“I mean, you got the FIRST mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” he said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”
Note the emboldened word.

It's as if no other African-American was ever clean, articulate nor bright, in Joe Biden's world.

Joe Biden's inclusion of the "F" word in his comments must not turn the "A" word into the new racial slur.

Barack Obama is, if nothing else, a bright, articulate individual.

And the "A-word" should forever stand as a compliment, to anyone whom it is given.
