A night out with the River Bats...

I had a chance to sing the National Anthem at the River Bats game tonight...although I got a free ticket just for doing so, I still ponied up an extra 8 bucks to get reserved seating.

I love watching minor league baseball. It is baseball for the fun and the joy of it, featuring a bunch of guys who would like nothing better than to go to the big dance, and playing their hearts out to meet that end.

Former State Senator (and now St. Cloud Mayor) Dave Kleis was on hand. Dave's a great guy; much more personable and approachable than the stuffed shirt mayor before him.

This is a picture of the gang of guys, warming up our voices to prepare to sing the anthem. It's always a special treat for us, to be able to sing arguably the most beloved song of our nation!

And what ballgame would be complete without a visit by the mascot?

To top it off, we'll be singing the National Anthem at the Twins v. Cubs game next Sunday!

'Tis great to be a barbershopper!
