Dead Man Rides NYC Subway, Possibly for Hours Friday, January 20, 2006

NEW YORK — A man was found dead on a subway car near the start of the morning rush hour, authorities said, raising the possibility that his lifeless body rode the train for several hours overnight.

Eugene Reilly, 64, of Brooklyn, a U.S. Postal Service employee, was discovered Thursday at 7:11 a.m., said James Anyansi, spokesman for NYC Transit.

Reilly's body was found in the last car of a northbound Q train in the 14th Street-Union Square station, Anyansi said Friday.
