Some Olympic observations...

Forget whether this Chinese gymnast is 13 or 16... is this Chinese gymnast a "He" or a "she?"
If the age reported by Xinhua was correct, that would have meant He was too young to be on the Chinese team that beat the United States on Wednesday and clinched China's first women's team Olympic gold in gymnastics. He is also a favorite for gold in Monday's uneven bars final.
And just Who's on first?

In another confusing story,
Abrahamian threw down his 84kg greco-roman bronze in disgust after his shot at gold was ended by a decision denounced by the Swedish coach as "politics".

84kg? By my calculations, that bronze medal would weigh in at a hefty 184.8 lbs; if I had that hanging around my neck, I'd want it off as soon as possible, too.
