The Wages of "The Culture of Death?"

For years now we've been told that we need to de-populate mother earth, either through the use of contraception, or via its insidious stepchild, abortion. As the Abortion Ticker shows on the sidebar of this blog, over 12,000,000 would-be American citizens never got a chance to take a breath because of abortion--and that's only been since the year 2000.

While in the dominant leftist culture, where death and/or the absence of more life is more or less glorified as the cleansing required to re-make the world and to downsize humanity's carbon footprint and affront against the earth's natural resources, another "death cult" has been making other plans.

While the video doesn't really make a direct link between the twin practices of contraception and abortion (with the latter often being utilized as the former) and the downslide of re-population in European and North American countries, there can be no denying that their impact has been nothing less than marked.

Like the global warming hoax, the nattering about the supposed ticking population bomb was ill-thought out from the start, and like the global warming hoax, we, our children, and their children's children will continue to pay the price. And pay it dearly.

Hope you enjoy your brave new world, liberals.

You created it. And now we all have to live in it.

The spending and taxing spree that's going on courtesy of the democrats in St. Paul (as well as in Washington, D.C.) should make every thinking taxpaying citizen tremble in fear. But as I've stated before, the liberal democrats' inevitable tendency to overreach will ultimately be their undoing.

Their days in power are, to say, quite 'numbered.'

"He believed in serving his country," said Ross' father, David C. Ross. Gary Anderson, Ross' best friend and an Army infantry veteran who served nine months in Afghanistan and 11 months in Iraq during his active duty stint, was a classmate of Ross at Marana's Mountain View High School. "You know, I heard this news of Ken and I broke down and cried hysterically," said Anderson, now a firefighter for the Ak-Chin Indian Community in Maricopa. "He loved everyone; everyone who came in contact with him loved him. He'd always help everyone out that he could."

A 1999 graduate of Mountain View, Ross played drums in the marching band and orchestra, his father said. Ross enlisted in the Army right after graduation. "He just wanted to take part in history," Anderson said.

At the time of his death, he was a helicopter mechanic — acting as a door gunner on his last mission, his father said. SSgt. Ross was killed when his helicopter went down southwest of Deh Chopan, Afghanistan. Also killed in the crash were Sgt. Shawn A. Graham, Warrent Officer Adrian B. Stump, Sgt. Tane T. Baum, Chief Warrent Officer 2 John M. Flynn and Sgt. Patrick D. Stewart.

Along with his father, SSgt. Ross is survived by his mother, Mary Ross, 57, and his sister, Stephanie Ross, 30. "I know his last thoughts were for everybody else and not for himself," Anderson said. "I know he wanted to make sure everybody was safe and would go home."


These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.
We Should Not Only Mourn These Men And Women Who Died, We Should Also Thank God That Such People Lived

What Happens When You Mix Arrogance with Memory Loss?

You get boneheaded publicity stunts like this:
A jumbo jet being chased by a F-16 fighter jets buzzed Lower Manhattan this morning, panicking New Yorkers, many of whom were forced to evacuate their office buildings.

It was not a terrorist attack, however, but a photo opportunity for Air Force One, sources told the Post.

President Obama was in Washington at the time, but the low-flying 747 circling the Statue of Liberty was one of the planes used as Air Force One, sources said.

The NYPD and the city were notified of the planned flight, but did not share that information with Mayor Bloomberg and other New Yorkers, many of whom said they were terrified.
From a psychological perspective, this was a cruel and twisted joke. Many New Yorkers still suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, a mental disorder whereby sights, sounds and/or smells can re-trigger fight-or-flight responses associated with a past traumatic event.

But remember, ladies and gents, according to the mental giants gnats, i.e., Obama & the rest of the teenagers with credit cards (a/k/a-the democrat-controlled Congress), 9/11 never happened. It's not even a war on terror anymore. It is a memory to be stuffed and snuffed; so I'm sure that quiz-kid Obama never thought twice about allowing this sophomoric stunt to occur.

There is a White House official who fell on the sword, but you can bet that His Arrogance and Pompancy, Barack Hussein Obama, will never apologize personally for re-traumatizing New Yorkers.

Time's Top 100 of 2009 announced-4Chan Pwns TIME!

The winner, m00t. Creator of the popular imageboard site called 4chan. Most people are flabbergasted at the results, saying people like Obama, Putin, or Oprah are NOT on the top of list. However the results are none too surprising to me when you note the other top winners on the list

Note when you read the first letter of every name, you get mARBLECAKEALSOTHEGAME, the game referring to a popular 4chan meme, where the rules state that if you think of the game, you lose. This shows that not only is m00t the most influental person on the planet, but the others are merely there because /b/(a popular area on the board that is responsible for this) want them there.

On other news earlier today ESPN's manhood was challenged when a webdesigner put in a wonderful Easter Egg that made ponies and unicorns appear whenever you typed in the Konami Code (Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Enter) and then click on any button afterwords. The egg was taken down but you can still see the effects by Googling ESPN then clicking Cached then inputing the code.

Happy Debt Day!

With the profligate spending spree going at the hands of Barack Obama and his merry band of teenagers with credit cards, a/k/a the democrat-led congress, is it any wonder that:
April 26th is the earliest that Debt Day has ever fallen. Essentially, what it means is that about halfway through the fiscal year, Washington has run out of money to pay for its spending spree.

In Fiscal Year 2008, for example, Debt Day fell on August 5th. In fact, in every fiscal year since September 11th, Debt Day has fallen at least 3 months later than it falls this year.
Promises, promises.

"This bill proposes the most significant tax overhaul in 20 years," said the bill's chief author Rep. Ann Lenczeswki, DFL-Bloomington.

In addition to the tax hikes, Lenczewski's bill removes a variety of tax breaks for homeowners and businesses. Charitable contributions, the mortgage interest tax deduction and the property tax deduction for homeowners are eliminated and replaced with a tax credit based on income. The bill also eliminates several business tax breaks, like the Research and Development credit and parts of the governor's JOBZ program.

Lenczewski said she wants to clean up the state's tax code.

"Which is to sweep the tax code clean of all of the preferential treatment and subsidies and things we can't afford anymore and instead bring a fairer, more progressive income tax to Minnesotans based on the ability to pay," she said.
I am sure that if Komrades Stalin or Lenin were alive to see this glorious party member in action, they, too would be giving Komrade Lenczewski standing ovation!

Really, folks, all kidding aside, If Ann Lenczewski and the Minnesota Democrat (DFL) party want to hang themselves by taking away homeowners' mortgage deductions on their state income taxes, I say, give them the rope.

It has proven to be axiomatic that when liberals get ahold of vast amounts of power, they will inevitably over-reach.

Their tax-raising orgies at the state legislature (not to mention at the federal level) will prove to be their undoing.

Penn also wrote that conservative talk radio hosts Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity “hate” the principles upon which America was founded.
First of all, tell me, Mr. Penn--in your drug-induced coma, did you ever stop to really think about the "principles" under which this country was founded? In your star-struck hero-worship stupor of your god Hugo Chavez, take a moment, if you would, to ponder which America looks more like the principles of our founding fathers: Rush Limbaugh's and Dick Cheney's America, or Barack Obama's and Hugo Chavez' version of what they'd like America to look like.

And speaking of your boy Hugo Chavez... warm and friendly, my ass.

Along with the declaration of the death of journalism, let me add the death of any intellectual honesty at all on the DFL side of the aisle. Since she was first elected to the Minnesota House back in 2006, Michele Bachmann has elicited a pavlovian, nay reptilian-brained rabid, spittle-flecked response at the very mention of her name. Right now, Michele Bachmann could go so far as to develop a cure for AIDS, end world hunger, and receive the Nobel Prize and the fever-swamp would dismiss it out of hand for reasons of spite.

All goes to show, Ol' Michele must be doing something right.

Oh, and about the comment that Michele Bachmann made that Barack Obama holds anti-American views??

Let's just say that she ain't the only one in the world who thinks that way.

Tarryl Clark & the DFL: Slamming Working Minnesotans?

E-mail message from an outraged Minnesotan . . .
The Democrats are trying to hammer through as many tax increases they can, knowing they will have to "peel some away" later. However, whatever they can get, they will take. They are doing this because when Gov. Pawlenty is up for re-election, the first thing they are going to do is print tee shirts screaming that Pawlenty raised taxes when he said he wouldn't. You will hear a lot of references to George W. Bush during this election. This strategy is so obvious.

There is a State Rep. named "Tarryl" something or other [Clark] who likes to go on TV and radio to blast wealthier Minnesotans. "They should sacrifice a little more," she chirps. Okay, Tarryl, do you have ANY idea what it takes to make it to the $250,000 a year level? How about THIS for sacrifice: I work at least 6 days a week, I've had to refinance my house twice, my car is a 1982 with 185,000 miles on it (my wife's 2001 has 108K on it). We dine out for celebrations only, such as birthdays. The house needs a new roof as well as other issues of repair. We don't go to the movies once a year at the most, and buy our clothes at the "clearance" sections of K-Mart and Target.

This has been going on since 2002. We do this because I am attempting to market new products, which is a very difficult process. (My latest is a 100% natural waterless hand & face cleanser.) Now, if this succeeds and I make it to $250K a year, I'll be damned if I'm going to turn this money over to people who go to the casinos, have kids they can't afford, have to drive a 2008 vehicle and refuse to work over 40 hours a week. I am naming examples from people I actually know. (“Work on a Saturday?? I have to go fishin'!")

I don't believe any tax increases are needed, as reduced spending should be used to balance the budget. If the state doesn't have the money to run programs, they get cut. Not every government program is sacred and the state certainly doesn't need to take money from people who have worked their tails off to achieve a certain level of income.

But, I'm just one person.

Swansongate Continues at the Minnesota State Capitol

In her first two years as Minnesota State Attorney General, Lori Swanson (DFL), following in the steps of her DFL predecessor, Mike Hatch, has proven to be no stranger to corruption. In 2007 and 2008, Lori Swanson was under fire for allegedly intimidating staff who wanted to join a union. In 2009, in the midst of an economic downturn, Lori Swanson put a pair of taxpayer-funded $15,000 sound proof doors to her office in the State Capitol...

And to give credit where it's due, the Channel Four, WCCO News Team has done some investigative reporting on Swanson's continued corrupt management of her position of trust in St. Paul:



The bi-partisan nature of the investigation suggests that there is some real dirt to be dug in the Minnesota Attorney General's office.

The Tide Is Turning...Part II

This is illustrative of what will happen to RINOs in 2010.

No longer is it a matter of Republican vs. Democrat. It is now a matter of, to paraphrase George W. Bush, "Either you are with us, or you are with the socialists."

An event-horizon has been crossed. Conservative Americans have clearly had enough of democrat socialism, not to mention the empty promises and lip-service paid by RINO neo-socialist/opportunist Republicans, who have repeatedly and arrogantly poked their thumbs in the conservatives' collective eyes when it met their purposes of political expediency; and, in the process have taken our votes for granted.

No longer will allegiance be paid with blind loyalty to a party; rather, it will be righteous loyalty and allegiance toward our Founding Principles which, when applied, have served this country admirably throughout our nation's history.

Look for similar messages to be given to RINOs all around the nation, and let them be put on notice: If you're a RINO, your remaining days in office will most certainly be numbered.

  • Minnesota’s income tax burden is already high
    • But Minnesota’s per capita personal income tax burden barely budged – falling from 4th highest in 1999 to 6th in 2006.
    • Minnesota’s top income tax rate – 7.85% paid by single filers with taxable incomes above $74,650 – is the 10th highest in the U.S.
    • Minnesota’s middle income tax rate – 7.05% paid by single filers earning $22,730-$74,650 – is higher than the top rate in 38 states.
    • Even Minnesota’s lowest income tax rate is high. Single filers in Minnesota – taxable incomes under $22,730 pay a 5.35% tax rate – higher than the top tax rates in 19 states, including seven states with no personal income tax.
    High-income families pay a disproportionate share of taxes

    • Minnesota’s state and local tax structure is slightly regressive, meaning people with higher incomes have a slightly lower effective tax rate than middle- or lower-income Minnesotans. However, because of Minnesota’s heavy reliance on individual income taxes, our overall tax structure is less regressive than all but 10 states – including all of our neighboring states.
    • Meanwhile, the top 10% of Minnesota households – those with annual incomes exceeding $124,000 – pay the majority (57%) of the income taxes and 39% of all state and local taxes.
    Here is how the State of Minnesota is broken down into percentiles of income earners:
    • Top 10%; 244,000 households; Incomes above $124,000
    • Next 30% 735,000 households Incomes $51,500 - $124,000
    • Remaining 60% 1.5 million households Incomes up to $51,500
    People with money are necessarily people with mobility. If we should raise taxes on the geographically mobile, the results could be nothing less than disastrous. Again, according to the Minnesota Coalition of Businesses:
    • 1995 - 2000: While 100,000 more people moved into Minnesota than moved out, Minnesota lost income due to migration.MSDC
    • $100,000+: Among movers, those who left the state “had the highest median household income and per capita income and the highest proportion of households with incomes of $100,000 or more.” MSDC
    • Not snow birds: Only 6% of those who left Minnesota were retirees.
    If the DFL continues to kill the geese that lay the golden eggs; if the producers decide to go John Galt with their feet, Minnesota's economic straits will be dire, indeed:

    • 12 to 1: Minnesota would have to attract 12 new households earning $31,000 to $40,000 a year to replace the taxes* paid by one household in the top 10% of income leaving the state.
    • 18 to 1: Minnesota would have to attract 18 new households earning $31,000 to $40,000 a year to replace the taxes* paid by one household in the top 5% of income leaving the state.
    • 49 to 1: Minnesota would have to attract 49 new households earning $31,000 to $40,000 a year to replace the taxes* paid by one household in the top 1% leaving the state.MBP/TIS
    • 65 to 1: If just one of Minnesota’s roughly 6,000 households earning $1 million or more leaves the state, Minnesota has to attract 65 households earning between $48,000 and $66,000 to replace the lost tax revenue

    So the DFL "feel-good" and politically-expedient mantra of "SOAK THE RICH!" and "MAKE THEM PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE!" will, in the end, soak all of us.

    Now there's some forward thinking, DFL.

    Keep it up and the entire state will be another Detroit.

    2 Year Anniversary of Harry Reid's Act of Treason

    Today marks an infamous date in history: The day when a highly placed elected U.S. official, with U.S. men and women in harm's way, declared that we lost the war in Iraq:
    He did this, of course, to give aid and comfort to those fighting our soldiers, ahead of the Bush-led surge in Iraq, so as to effect more U.S. troops coming home in body bags, so he could turn it to his and his party's political advantage.

    Why this traitor hasn't been removed from a high-ranking leadership position, or better yet, placed in a stockade, is beyond reason.

    What a scumbag.

    According to Rasmussen, only 1 of 3 Americans now believe the lie that is anthroprogenic global warming!

    Let's hope that team Obama, the enviro-whacko global warming pimps, and their willing media accomplices will finally quit trying to defend the indefensible. Of course, this will mean that they will now need to search for a different angle. After "global warming" failed, they tried "climate change," to hedge their bets that no matter what happens with the weather, capitalism is to blame. But it would appear that their "climate change" gimmick is beginning to fall on deaf ears as well.

    But even if they abandon their charge for a weather-related excuse to cram socialism down our throats, they're sure to come up with another hare-brained angle.

    You can take that to the bank.

    A few quick afterthoughts on the tea party

    I gotta get running to a meeting... but just a few random thoughts:
    • Yes, yesterday's Tea Party was about confiscatory taxes and spending; but it was so much more than that.
    • Yesterday's Tea Parties held around the nation were a collective "Mad as hell and we're not gonna take it anymore" reaction to the abuses of individual liberty that have taken this nation by storm within the past two decades.
    • Confiscatory taxes and regressive tax codes that by default place restrictions on behavior are instrumental in stealing one's individual economic and by extension personal freedoms;
    • The current tax code is a symptom, not the source of our discontent.
    • We are (or at least at one point in history were) a nation of free men. The government has been set up to serve and to be beholden to the people; not vice versa. "By the People, Of the People, and For the People" is not just a catchy phrase; it's the whole foundation behind our system of governance.
    The great Ronaldvs Magnvs warned us to be vigilant, saying that the loss of our liberty was at all times only one generation away. Let ours not be the generation that sells out the next. Let the events that occurred yesterday not be a passing whim that flashes in the pan and fades; but rather the pebble tossed in the pool that transforms into a tidal wave of resolve to preserve our nation as the last, great, beacon of freedom on God's green earth!

    Tea Party in St. Cloud Produces Massive Turnout

    I had some comp time coming, so I took a couple hours off of work today to attend the St. Cloud Tea Party. I arrived around the time it started, and much to my pleasant surprise, there were no parking spaces left in the area, and I ended up parked two blocks away from the event. The turnout was, in a word, HUGE (click on pics for full size):

    A rough guesstimate (and a conservative one at that) would have been between 700 and 800 attendees. Mind you, this was held during noon on a weekday, so a pretty good turnout, considering, unlike a rent-an-ACORN mob rally, most of these folks have day jobs, as well.

    Alan R. Blohm enlisted in the Army in 2004 because "He wanted to serve the country," his brother Jeremy said. "His grandfather had been in the Army, and it's just something he wanted to do."

    Blohm graduated in 2004 from Bay City Western High School, where he was a 250-pound defensive player for the football team. Blohm's size prompted coach Jim Eurick to nickname him "Biggins Blohm," his brother recalled. "I know he paid the ultimate sacrifice with his life," Mark Boileau, Blohm's former school Principal, said. "We know Alan will be in a better place because of the sacrifice he made, because of his love for our country."

    PFC. Blohm died of wounds suffered when an IED detonated near his unit while on combat patrol in Baghdad Besides his brother, he leaves behind his parents and a younger sister.

    Another Sacrifice for the Good of the Collective?

    With my son having a rare genetic bone disorder, we have often utilized the expertise available at Minneapolis Shriner's Children's Hospital. The care there is top notch, and they are tops at what they do. Nowhere else can one find more competent care with regard to children's orthopedic issues, burn issues, and other muscular-skeletal maladies. And most of all, treatment there is of absolutely no charge to its patients.

    Bruce Thompson at American Thinker brings some bad news:
    The Shriners Children's Hospitals, which have provided free medical care to children, may be closing many of their facilities. The endowment supporting these facilities have fallen in value from $8 billion to 5 billion, with income also down sharply. Supporting current operations is reportedly drawing down the endowment further at a pace of $1 million a day, according to AP.
    And if Obama gets his wish with limiting deductions wrt charitable contributions, the future of Shrine Hospitals looks even more bleak:
    The Obama administration proposal to reduce the tax deductibility of charitable donations makes the future dim for these, and many other worthy charitable endeavors, whose funding basis has been devastated.
    Indeed. But it would appear that through greatly decreasing and/or eliminating charitable deductions altogether, the socialist Obama administration plans to bleed private charities dry, thereby leaving the government to step in and take up the slack; this would by necessity not only grow government, but increase its power and influence over others to the point where Big Government will be the be-all, and the end-all, womb-to-the-tomb abomination.

    'Charitable functions' will be an exclusive function of the government, and as thus will cease to be charity, as charity itself has a voluntary component.

    So, Obama voters, how do you like your 'brave new world' now?

    I give President Obama kudos for ordering the special forces operation that freed Captain Phillips. Negotiating with these terrorists of the seas would have no doubt resulted in more and more unabated attacks on our interests.

    But now that this episode is over, what is the Administration’s next step? Will he take the way of administrations prior to Bush, and treat each act of piracy as a ‘criminal matter?’ Or will President Obama rightly label any act of piracy against an American ship as an act of war and act accordingly?

    President Obama would do wonders for his credibility and resolve in defense matters should he choose the latter.

    Nicholas Kristof has an interesting op-ed in the New York Times, entitled, "Humanity, Even for Nonhumans," speaking of those who believe that the human race has the moral obligation to relieve suffering of species that we tend to uh... eat. Some interesting tidbits in Kristof's column include this pioneer in animal "rights."
    One of the few exceptions was Jeremy Bentham, the philosopher who 200 years ago also advocated for women’s rights, gay rights and prison reform. He responded to Kant’s lack of interest in animals by saying: “The question is not, Can they reason? nor, Can they talk? but, Can they suffer?
    Interesting line of questioning, especially the italicized phrase.

    Fast forward to a modern, "enlightened" animal rights whacko, also mentioned in the Kristoff piece:
    Yet the movement is also the product of a deep intellectual ferment pioneered by the Princeton scholar Peter Singer.

    Professor Singer wrote a landmark article in 1973 for The New York Review of Books and later expanded it into a 1975 book, “Animal Liberation.” That book helped yank academic philosophy back from a dreary foray into linguistics and pushed it to confront such fascinating questions of applied ethics as: What are our moral obligations to pigs?

    John Maynard Keynes wrote that ideas, “both when they are right and when they are wrong, are more powerful than is commonly understood. Indeed the world is ruled by little else.” This idea popularized by Professor Singer — that we have ethical obligations that transcend our species — is one whose time appears to have come.

    “There’s some growth in numbers of vegetarians, but the bigger thing is a broad acceptance of the idea that animals count,” Mr. Singer reflected the other day.
    Kristoff goes on to further describe the encounter he had with Singer:
    I eagerly pushed Mr. Singer to find his boundaries. “Do you have any compunctions about swatting a cockroach?” I asked him. “Not much,” he replied, citing reasons to doubt that insects are capable of much suffering. Mr. Singer is somewhat unsure about shellfish, although he mostly gives them the benefit of the doubt and tends to avoid eating them.
    If Mr. Singer, a known leftist, would channel his compassion toward ending suffering for all forms of life, animal and human, I may have respect for what he has to say. But like most leftists with regard to their storeroom of compassion, Mr. Singer's capacity for compassion weighs empty when it comes to human beings:

    An internationally known Princeton "bioethicist" and animal-rights activist says he'd kill disabled babies if it were in the "best interests" of the family, because he sees no distinction in the child's life whether it is born or not, and the world already allows abortion.

    The comments come from Peter Singer, a controversial bioethics professor, who responded to a series of questions in the UK Independent this week.

    Earlier, WND reported Singer believes the next few decades will see a massive upheaval in the concept of life and rights, with only "a rump of hard-core, know-nothing religious fundamentalists" still protecting life as sacrosanct.

    To the rest, it will be a commodity to be re-evaluated regularly for its worth.

    To the irreligious left who eschew boiling lobster, who protest killing whales, or baby seals, or for that matter Mr. Singer, who eschews eating oysters on the half-shell due to the mere 'possibility' of their suffering, their stores of compassion somehow run precariously dry when newborn or soon-to-be-born human beings enter the equation.

    Being leftists, they celebrate human death. That's why they worshipped Stalin, Mao, Che Guevara and the North Vietnamese communists, and continue to worship Castro, Chavez and other murderers. That is why they celebrated the banning of DDT, even though they knew it would result in untold human deaths due to malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases.

    To the left, human death is cool. Human death is righteous. For human death fits right in to the Marxist bromide, "Everything that exists deserves to be destroyed." In their view, which is reflective of their über prophet, Karl Marx, their phoenix that is their otherwise unattainable socialist utopia must necessarily rise from the ashes of human debris.

    To the leftist, death is cleansing; death means rebirth.

    Human death, anyway.

    In short, leftists, at their very core, operate from a platform of evil.

    With sleet gushing from gunmetal gray clouds, some 30 Marines standing in three trim lines saluted the U.S. flag that four of their brethren used to christen a new pole.

    A large engraved stone set at the base of the 38-foot pole explained the occasion: "In memory of Corporal Aaron L. Seal. Who gave his life for our country. 1982-2006."

    The Marines from Engineer Company B joined several dozen community residents and well-wishers at a ceremony Wednesday honoring Seal, the 23-year-old Elkhart reservist who died last fall in Iraq. Seal's family also attended the 20-minute tribute at Elkhart Community Schools' administration building adjacent to Memorial High School -- the fallen Marine's alma mater.

    The perpetual love-affair between leftists and murderous, oppressive dictators was on full parade today, as the Congressional Black Caucus did everything short of giving Castro a Lewinsky (and who knows, they may have even done that):
    Lee and others heaped praise on Castro, calling him warm and receptive during their discussion. But the lawmakers disputed Castro's later statement that members of the congressional delegation said American society is still racist.

    "It was quite a moment to behold," Lee said, recalling her moments with Castro.

    “It was almost like listening to an old friend,” said Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Il.), adding that he found Castro’s home to be modest and Castro’s wife to be particularly hospitable.

    “In my household I told Castro he is known as the ultimate survivor,” Rush said.
    I'm telling you---it all makes sense, now.

    American Child Killers?

    From a leftist at a forum I came across:
    "Our country kills children all over the world. Whether it's the fault of terrorists or not, is this how we want to remembered when our country is nuked. Do we want to be remembered as child killers?"
    To which I responded:
    This is one of the favorite devices of the rabid left: Take their wrongs, and divert attention from them by projecting them onto others.

    The leftist ideology in guises of communism, socialism, et al. has served to literally murder millions of people, including millions of children. From Castro, to Pol Pot, to Stalin, to Lenin, to Mao, to [insert your favorite despot here]; and not only do leftists make excuses for these murdering despots, they want to emulate them and their tactics. To destroy in order to remake has been the hallmark of leftists, since Komrade Karl Marx wrote in his Manifesto, (to parpahrase) "Everything that exists deserves to be destroyed."

    This culture of leftist nihilism has even invaded our shores, in the form of the thousands of innocents murdered on a daily basis on the altar of abortion.

    So, yes, in that vein, America does have a population of baby killers.

    They're called leftists.

    Currently on my Bookshelf...

    Ever since I've been paying any attention to anything political, which is from a mighty long time ago, I've often wondered as to why those who ostensibly preach against man's inhumanity to man, and for decency and human rights so often run to the defense of and even embrace murderous despots.

    For literally decades now, trying to make some sense of this seeming paradox has, to paraphrase Dr. Suess, "puzzled me til my puzzler was sore."

    Finally, there's a plausible explanation put forth by a man by the name of Jamie Glazov, who himself, along with his family, fled Soviet tyranny during the 1970s.

    In his book, "United in Hate," Glazov introduces us to his first encounters with the left, as he looked on with shock and horror as the tyranny that he fled was not only embraced but actually longed for by those who had otherwise lived in relative freedom for all of their lives.

    I'm currently a few chapters into this fascinating read. I've contacted Glazov, and he has agreed to do an exclusive interview with me as soon as I am done reading the book.

    More Tasteless Gift Ideas From the Obamateur.

    From giving a cheesy set of useless DVDs to Britain's Prime minister, to giving an I-Pod to the Queen of England, the Obammesiah can always be counted on to upgrade a regal and decorum-filled occasion into a diplomatic version of a trailer trash pot luck supper.

    Well, in a fortunate set of circumstances, the crack staff here at the Ice Palace have obtained a list of gifts in Obama's prize closet that he intends to give on his next globetrotting magical mystery tour of the planet.

    For instance, when Barack Hussein Obama next visits Saudi Arabia, one can only imagine the look on Sheikh Salabeen's face when he gathers a quaff of this:
    From Dale Air, a host of different fragrances that will add new life to any Arab Sheikh's palace! Available fragrances, among others, include vomit, urine, and pencil shavings!

    Upon jetting off from Saudi Arabia to Uganda, Obama really intends to display an aire of sophistication and a dash of empathy with this stocking stuffer. No doubt Obama's teleprompter will direct him to say, "You think you have disease and pestilence in your country? Well, get a load of this!"
    Obama: "Ubangi fever, you say? Well--take a look at the guy with the really bad case of genital warts on page 34! See, you ain't got it so bad! There's some hopenchange for ya, brother!"
    His job having been done in Uganda, the Obama retinue then jets off to war-torn and starvation-plagued Sudan for more fun, where after being given a sculpture worth two years salary for the ordinary Sudanese citizen, he in return presents the Ugandan President with--
    a fake fried egg.

    Imagine the laughs emanating from the Ugandan palace as the starving masses gather outside, when the Ugandan President cracks open the metal egg, only to find out that there's a felt-egg inside. "If you don't eat it," says Obama, "It'll last forever!"

    Next stop, Papua, New Guinea, currently in the midst of a tapeworm epidemic, where he presents the New Guinea consulate with:

    A Gummy Tapeworm!

    Obama: "As I proved on 60 Minutes when I laughed at the prospect of our economy hitting rock bottom, I have found that comedy really lightens the load! And I hear that these things taste great, too!"


    Next stop, Mother Russia, where upon being presented with a jeweled sword once owned by Czar Nicholas, Obama presents President Dimitri with:

    Obama: "Remember that red button we gave you that kinda looked like the nuclear football? The one that said, "Reset" on it? Or at least we thought it did? Yeah--sorry you misunderstood that. But look, this here gift is a symbol of our growing relationship, or my growing stupidity, depending on how you take it."

    Next back home to what is left of the United States, where the Obamateur will embark on a goodwill tour, and will visit poverty stricken areas in Appalachia and in Detroit. No doubt these parting gifts that Obama will leave will create a big laugh:

    Yes, a fake lottery ticket! Imagine the joy on the faces of those destitute people who, upon scratching the numbers, think they actually won $10,000! And, imagine the disappointment when, like Obama's stimulus plan, they find the ticket to be worthless!

    Yeah, it'll be a riot. Literally.

    My son (Kodyack) had a bright idea yesterday.

    "Dad!" he excitedly said, "Let's make an April Fool's prank with your blog. We'll remake it and I'll make off like I'm some lefty who's hijacked it!" he says.

    "Naww...don't think it's a good idea," I said. "I've worked pretty hard on maintaining the blog over the years; I don't want to wreck it."

    "Okay," he said. "I just thought it would be a pretty cool idea."

    And the more I thought about it, the more I thought it would be a pretty cool idea, as well. I mean, after all, my 18-year old son is a pretty good wordsmith in his own right. A chip off the old block, you might say. And then I thought, "Yeah, that's right, Blogger allows you to save templates!" So I says to Kodyack, "You go ahead, son. I'll save the template, and I'll restore it back to order after today."

    And so Kodyack went to town, and did a helluva job, if I might add.

    So, when I got home from work today, I went back to work on restoring my blog. I re-uploaded the template I saved yesterday.

    Piece of cake, thinks I.

    Thought I.

    Awwwww crap.

    All my widgets, gone. My Ted Kennedy count-up widget, gone. My blogrolls. Gone. Everything. Gone. Except the posts.

    So now I'm left with the chore of re-building my blog.

    The Right Wing Secret World Takeover Plot

    My first post shall show you all that the evil right is actually plotting to take over the world.

    Exhibit A: Manifest Destiny. I know what your saying, Polk was a democrat, Incorrect, this is simply a lie to misinform the masses, I have edited his Wikipedia page to show the correct information



    Manifest Destiny started out as a republican tried to take over the entire world! And with Polk spearheading the operation, everyone on the republican side was sure of victory, if it wasn't for OUR SAVIOR BARACK OBAMA, they would of succeeded, but thankfully Obama hopped on his magic time machine and saved the free world and stopped Manifest Destiny Right at the end of the country.
