I feel like I just woke up in Wonderland...

Republicans are for raising taxes, and a Green Party guy opposes it:

Nader urges veto of Twins stadium

Pawlenty will sign bill tonight, staffer says

Pioneer Press

Ralph Nader, famed consumer advocate and former Green Party candidate for president, sent Gov. Tim Pawlenty a letter Thursday urging him to veto the Minnesota Twins stadium bill because it "is an affront to taxpayers and voters.

"Please veto the Twins' stadium bill and tell Carl Pohlad that if he wants a profitable new stadium, he should build it, like the capitalist he purports to be, without taxpayer subsidies," Nader wrote.

Pawlenty spokesman Brian McClung said Pawlenty has made up his mind on the issue and will go ahead with his plans to sign the bill at the Metrodome at 7:05 p.m. before the Twins game tonight.

Word to Pawlenty and the rest of the Minnesota Republicans:  When one's position is to the left of Ralph Nader's, shouldn't that give one pause for consideration?

Just a thought.
