An inconvenient truth?...

It appears that the $300,000 fine levied in 2004 against 21st Century Democrats (as the result of an illegal $300,000 contribution by MN DFL Representative, and now Attorney General hopeful Matt Entenza) has now been reduced to $180,000. The story is lost in the middle of the St. Cloud Times, in a tiny paragraph; but it is nowhere to be found on the web.

Something tells me that if the names in this story were somehow switched to "21st Century Republicans" and Jeff Johnson, the headlines would be splashed all over page one, and the news would dominate MPR and the Strib.

Also, does anyone else see the delicious irony regarding a guy who wants to be the chief law enforcement official for the State of Minnesota, being involved in blatantly illegal activity?

Such a fact, if brought up again, could bode ill for Entenza's AG bid, one would think.

I wonder if that has anything to do with this being a non-news story... Hmmmm...
