Regarding "Worthless Endorsements"

Now the GOP Gubernatorial process is likened to a "poll tax"?

From an email I received this morning from Dan Coleman, campaign chairman for Sue Jeffers, entitled: "Republican Gubernatorial Endorsement Worthless if no Competition is Allowed"
As you have undoubtedly heard, the State GOP is attempting to unfairly block Sue Jeffers’ challenge to Governor Pawlenty. All Sue is asking is the opportunity to be heard and give the convention a choice. The obstacles being placed before our campaign go against the principles upon which Republican Party was built. The 10 or 20 percent delegate signature petition smacks of the poll tax of old, which the Democrats used as a discrimination tactic. This is especially irresponsible and misguided in as much as only one candidate has announced her intention to seek the Republican endorsement for governor. Then perhaps it should be argued all candidates must meet this threshold.
Now everybody take your banjos out, and we'll play "Dixieland".

To the best of my understanding, the rules of the convention specifically state that no one has the "right to speak" to the convention if 1. you are not a delegate and 2. You are not a candidate. Jeffers failed on both counts. Of course, Jeffers can speak if a majority of delegates allow the rules to be suspended. But my take is that Jeffers has burned her bridges by playing footsie with the Libertarians, and that's not likely to happen.

Face it. Jeffers "jumped the shark" when she sought and received the endorsement of the Libertarian party. Much as the immigration debate in the MSM conveniently leaves out the word "illegal", Jeffers and Co. continue to conveniently leave out this inconvenient fact. Like illegal immigrants, who demand that we scrap our immigration laws to accomodate them, merely because they feel entitled, Jeffers wants the Republican party to scrap its rules for the same reason.

Ain't. Gonna. Happen.

Coleman's likening of the MN GOP to a bunch of dixiecrats isn't going to win Jeffers any additional favors, either.

BTW, do you think it ironic that Jeffers seeks the Republican endorsement as an uber conservative, yet has a democrat activist as a campaign manager?

Just who's the real RINO here?
