In what may prove to be a hollow victory..
Though this is indeed good news,
Muslim extremists, who have demanded death for Rahman as an apostate for rejecting Islam, warned the decision would touch off protests across this religiously conservative country. Some clerics previously vowed to incite Afghans to kill Rahman if he was let go.Though the wolves have been put at bay for now, they definitely not ready to fade away. Afghanistan needs to know that if they wish to remain in good standing in the community of nations, they must be able to keep their radical elements at bay. Otherwise they are nothing better than just another rogue, fascist state.
