Well knock me over..with a feather...

From here:
Children exposed to sex in TV programmes, films, magazines and music are more likely to engage in sexual activity than those who are not, according to research out today.

There is a direct relationship between the amount of sexual content a child sees and their level of sexual activity or their intentions to have sex in the future, the study found.

Such media also has at least an equal influence on sexual behaviour as religion or a child's relationship with their parents and peers, the study said.

Who'd a thunk it. Kids who see sex are more likely to engage in it.

Weeeeeeelll that was a lot of research money well spent, wasn't it?

But the writers of the article appeared to think of this phenom as a good thing:
It concluded that the media is an "important source" of information about sex for teenagers who might not get advice elsewhere
Well golly gee... isn't it nice to know that our degenerate media is an important source of sexual information for kids to get it on who would normally not get it on.

Not to mention an important source of information that promotes behavior leading to teen pregnancy and STD's (ain't it a caution how the negative consequences associated with the "free love" lifestyle are seldom accentuated).

The media certainly has played an important part of the sexualization of our kids, haven't they?

Yep... and at the end of the day they can bask in the glory of a job well done.
