I've been going back and forth on this for quite some time. As a delegate, and well as being a personal friend to two of the candidates, it's been quite a struggle to choose from such a great field for the U.S. 6th Congressional seat being vacated this November by our soon-to-be U.S. Senator
Mark Kennedy. But after much deliberation and soul searching, I have decided to endorse
Jay Esmay for Congress.
Jay has both the business sense and the military and intelligence expertise to represent Minnesota, as well as to be a congressional leader in security issues. Jay is 100% pro life, and pro-marriage. He expresses a commonsense approach to the immigration issue. He supports the Fair Tax Amendment. And, in not being tied in with the political establishment, Jay is not afraid to speak his mind, even when his position may be unpopular.
I find no fault with any of the current slate of congressional candidates, and whomever is ultimately endorsed will do a fine job of representing our area of the state; and will do our nation proud.
I feel though, on balance, Esmay is the best of the field.
